Today I'm sharing a dessert recipe that I've been making for years. The ingredients may surprise you, but trust me, they just work! This is a that's not too sweet, kinda tart, a bit creamy, and if that isn't interesting enough, it has crunchy walnuts in it! This is a perfect dessert to take for a potluck, and looks beautiful on a dessert table. You can even make them in individual ramekins or dessert glasses. So with an open mind, I ask you to try this recipe! You'll need- 2 6oz boxes strawberry jello 1 packet plain gelatin 3 cups boiling water 1 14oz can cranberry sauce 1 small can crushed pineapple 2 cups sour cream 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans 1/2 cup dried cranberries (optional) Directions- Dissolve the jello and gelatin with the boiling water. Add in the cranberry sauce and mix with a hand mixer until most all the cranberry sauce has broken apart and dissolved. Mix in the pineapple, and sour cream. Next add the nuts and mix a few more seconds. Once all the ingredients have been incorporated, pour into your mold. I used a Bundt pan. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours. When it's time to serve, I use a knife to loosen the edges of the jello, then submerge the Bundt pan into a large bowl of warm water for about 15 seconds. I do this to make sure it will flip out in one piece. Now take a serving dish and place it face down on the jello mold. Carefully flip it upside down. Give it a tap and it should pop out easily. Put it back into the fridge for another few minutes if possible to tighten up again, and remove when you're ready to serve. This is wonderful with some whipped cream, fresh berries, or just on its own! Thanks for having an open mind and I hope you give this a try.
