Y'all know I workout like a but it took me a LONG TIME to have a good relationship with food and find a healthy eating lifestyle that worked for me. I learned one thing quickly...restriction diets or food that's "off limits" doesn't work for me, it just makes me want those things even MORE. I now follow the 80/20 rule...80% of the time I eat nutritious like fruits, veggies, nuts, oatmeal & lean protein. 20% of the time I eat cookies (have 1 every day), chips, crackers, pizza, etc... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ dietitian Kelsey Hutter (swipe right to see her and my fave oatmeal bowl!) has a similar philosophy. She says is key and total deprivation can lead to a binge episode.
